INTERFIRE® EI

INTERFIRE® is a Class EI fire-resisting insulating safety glass, a combination of two panes of toughened glass with an inner layer of fire-resistant gel. It is outstanding in the way it combines characteristics of first-rate noise reduction and excellent resistance to high fire temperatures with good light transmission. It is UV-resistant and can happily be used in units designed for ‘change of level’ situations.

INTERFIRE® EI is available from 16 mm-thick single units for internal screening, or in double-glazed insulating unit format, to offer full fire protection from 30 through to 90 minutes. Any INTERFIRE® EI product may only be used in a suitably approved thermally-broken frame system. (pdf 73 Kb)
